New approaches for prediction of breast cancer
Biomarkers accepted for clinical use in breast cancer, such as CA 15-3 and CEA have low sensitivity and specificity, and are thus more useful for patients at an advanced stage of breast cancer rather than for early cancer diagnosis. So, there is a need for new biomarkers to help in diagnosis of primary breast cancer and this is one of the aims of the present study. Once a patient has ... zur Produkt-Seite

So, there is a need for new biomarkers to help in diagnosis of primary breast cancer and this is one of the aims of the present study. Once a patient has been diagnosed with breast cancer, there are several factors shown to be associated with survival. These factors are referred to as prognostic factors such as axillary lymph node status, tumor size, histological grade and hormone receptor expression. All these factors require tissue samples which is not practical for a screening regimen. So, measurement of the parameters in the present study was on the serum. Angiogenesis is a key factor in cancer development. It is initiated when there is a predominance of angiogenic factors that favour new vessel growth such as VEGF. Besides VEGF, there are several growth factors and molecules included in angiogenesis such as HGF, IL-18 and nitric oxide.","merchants_number":1,"ean":9783659378751,"category_id":103,"size":null,"min_price":66.650000000000005684341886080801486968994140625,"low_price_merchant_id":1087639,"ID":4937564,"merchants":["dodax"],"brand":"undefined","slug":"new-approaches-for-prediction-of-breast-cancer","url":"\/unterhaltung\/produkt\/new-approaches-for-prediction-of-breast-cancer\/","low_price_merchant_name":null}

Generation of Long Acting Therapies Using Glycosylated Linkers
The current therapeutic drugs such as, growth hormone (GH), granulocyte colony stimulating factor (GCSF) require once daily injections, which are inconvenient and expensive. A number of approaches to reducing therapeutic regimens clearance have been tried mainly through conjugation with another moiety such as, PEGylation, but this has been shown to be non biodegradable and toxic. A number of approaches to reducing therapeutic regimens clearance have been tried mainly through conjugation with another moiety such as, PEGylation, but this has been shown to be non biodegradable and toxic. Asterion has shown that the use of glycosylated linkers between two GH ligands to create protein tandems resulted in their glycosylation and an increased molecular weight whilst retaining bioactivity. The use of glycosylated linkers between GCSF tandems results in molecules with increased molecular weight according to the number of glycosylation sites. GCSF tandems have increased in vitro bioactivity compared to monomeric GCSF. Tandems with and without glycosylation had three fold greater half-lives than rhGCSF. There was evidence that GCSF8NAT was biologically active in vivo. The results confirm the hypothesis that it is possible to predictably increase the molecular weight of GCSF tandems and retain biological activity but this was not associated with a predictable prolongation of the serum half-\u00adlife.","merchants_number":1,"ean":9786202303606,"category_id":103,"size":null,"min_price":92.349999999999994315658113919198513031005859375,"low_price_merchant_id":1087639,"ID":5509160,"merchants":["dodax"],"brand":"undefined","slug":"generation-of-long-acting-therapies-using-glycosylated-linkers","url":"\/unterhaltung\/produkt\/generation-of-long-acting-therapies-using-glycosylated-linkers\/","low_price_merchant_name":null}

Maternal serum PlGF and PAPP-A

This prospective, observational study included 175 pregnant women, and of these women, due to participant withdrawal or loss to follow-up, delivery data were collected from the medical records of 155 women, including 4 who had twin pregnancies. The women's maternal history was recorded, and the PlGF and PAPP-A levels at 11 to 13 gestational weeks were measured. During the second trimester, the maternal uterine artery's systolic\/diastolic ratio was measured. Multiples of the median (MoM) of PlGF and PAPP-A were determined, and the associations of these values with the risk factors of SGA and PE were evaluated. Logistic regression analysis was used to determine whether PlGF and PAPP-A are useful markers for predicting SGA infants. PlGF and PAPP-A are potentially useful as first-trimester markers for SGA infants and some hypertensive disorders of pregnancy.","merchants_number":2,"ean":9783330075726,"category_id":103,"size":null,"min_price":36.85000000000000142108547152020037174224853515625,"low_price_merchant_id":1087639,"ID":4804190,"merchants":["dodax","euniverse"],"brand":"undefined","slug":"maternal-serum-plgf-and-papp-a","url":"\/unterhaltung\/produkt\/maternal-serum-plgf-and-papp-a\/","low_price_merchant_name":null}
