Testing and Verifying Web Services

As service-oriented architecture matures and more Webservices become available, developers must test anever-increasing volume of services. In the meantime,SOA advocates run-time system integration of looselycoupled services across heterogeneous platforms in adistributed environment and also improves theflexibility of system development. However,trustworthiness becomes a serious problemand corresponding techniques have to be brought tothe table. This challenging topic constitutes themajority of my research content during my three and ahalf years of PhD studies. This book comes from myPhD dissertation. In this book, I introduced aneffective verification framework that can greatlyreduce the effort for the rapid testing and dynamicverification of SOA applications and Web Services.This verification framework consists of two keycomponents: a underlying testing mechanism to supportthe static testing of services, and a policy-baseddynamic verification mechanism to guard the servicecollaboration and composition on the fly....
