Mustafa smet nönü (24 September 1884 25 December 1973) was a Turkish Army General, Prime Minister and the second President of Turkey. In 1938, the Republican People's Party gave him the title of "Milli ef" (National Chief). He was born in Smyrna (present day zmir) to Reshid (Hac Re it Bey) and Djevriye (Cevrye Temelli Han m). He was of Kurdish descent.
