Radio Tircoed

Radio Tircoed is a self-funded community based radio station serving the areas of Tircoed, Penllergaer, Pontardulais, Gorseinon, Pontlliw and the M4 Corridor between J47 and J 48 West of Swansea, South Wales. Its only on-air period to date a RSL transmission took place from December 2006 to January 2007. On February 13 2007, the station was given permission by OFCOM to broadcast around the clock on a permanent basis. The launch plan is to broadcast a wide range of programming in Welsh and English with original features including children''s stories, local documentaries, topical chat, and a wide range of music. While the permanent launch was delayed, the station successfully broadcast another RSL period during July 2008. Radio Tircoed launched, full time, on 1 December at 8am, the first song was Start Me Up by the Rolling Stones.... Mehr
