Pulsars

It is amazing at how much mankind has learned, grown, and developed to appreciate the cosmic environment. We seem to feel that we are always discovering new answers to old questions. But in reality, we unexpectedly only discover more questions than answers in a never-ending cycle. Pulsars were initially unknown until about the late sixties using radio telescopes where these rotating neutron stars can create a swath of electromagnetic radiation across the Earth. This analogous lighthouse sweeping signal is accurate, repeatable, have a periodic response better than an atomic clock and obviously represents an unusual cosmic endeavor. What caused a neutron star within a Pulsar? What about unusual celestial trajectories? Does the rotation of a spinning neutron star actually alter gravity?
